This week marks the quarterfinals stage in the Iowa High School State Football Playoffs, as just eight teams remain in all seven classes. Of the 56 remaining, five teams represent Northwest Iowa: MMCRU and West Sioux (Class A), West Lyon (Class 1A), Cherokee (Class 2A), and Sioux Center (Class 3A). Eight-man action gets rolling tonight while classes A-5A host their quarterfinal matchups on Friday night. The 28 teams that come out on top punch their ticket to the semifinals at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
