Iowa Baseball Seeded Third In B1G Tournament

Iowa baseball coach Rick Heller says his Hawkeyes have lived up to expectations this season.

Iowa closed the regular season with a record of 39-13 and will be the three seed in the Big Ten Tournament in Omaha. They take on sixth seeded Michigan in the tournament opener Tuesday morning.

The Hawkeyes have played well down the stretch. They enter the conference tournament having won 16 of their last 20 games.

Sophomore Marcus Morgan will start on the mound against the Wolverines. He was lifted early in Iowa’s 15-3 win over Northwestern last Thursday.

Michigan is 26-26 overall and finished 13-11 in the Big Ten.
