Iowa CB Jaylen Watson on spring drills

Iowa City, Iowa (RI) – Iowa sophomore Jaylen Watson hopes to have even a bigger role next season for the Hawkeyes.

The sophomore from Detroit appeared in 10 games last season at corner and was listed as a backup to T.J. Hall and Deshaun Lee at the start of spring drills. Watson says it was exciting to get on the field as a freshman.

Watson talks about the competition at corner this spring.

Watson says he is learning a lot under defensive coordinator Phil Parker, who also coaches the defensive backs.

Watson on the biggest lesson he has learned from Parker.

The Hawkeyes close spring drills with an open practice in Kinnick Stadium on April 26th.
