Iowa center Monika Czinano is ready for the next challenge.
Czinano was selected in the third round of Monday night’s WNBA Draft by the L.A. Sparks. Czinano helped lead the Hawkeyes to a first ever appearance in the national championship game.
Czinano is the third Hawkeye to be drafted since 2019.
Training camp begins on April 30th.
Czinano was at her family home in Watertown, Minnesota when her name was called.
Czinano still plans to attend medical school at some point but for now those plans are on the back burner.
