Iowa Defense Prepares For Rutgers

Iowa linebacker Jay Higgins says depth on the defensive line has been a big factor for the Hawkeyes improving run defense.

That unit will be tested on Saturday by a Rutgers ground attack that ranks second in the Big Ten by averaging nearly 185 yards per game.

Higgins says the defensive line is allowing the linebackers to run free.

With three games remaining the Hawkeyes control their own destination in the Big Ten West. Senior linebacker Kyler Fisher.
