Seventh ranked Purdue scored 54 points in the second half and raced away to a 90-81 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes in Iowa City. Playing without leader scorer and rebounder Owen Freeman, Josh Dix and Payton Sandfort combined to score 50 points in a losing effort.
Purdue shot 55 percent and made nine three pointers in the second half.
Dix was 10-of-16 to score a team high 27 points.
Sandfort scored 23 points and added five assists and six rebounds as the game was tied at 36 at halftime.
The Hawkeyes are 4-7 in the Big Ten. Purdue improves to 10-2.
