Iowa City, Iowa — Alex Padilla makes his first start at quarterback when 19th ranked Iowa hosts Minnesota.
Padilla replaced the banged up Spencer Petras in the first quarter of a 17-12 win at Northwestern and coach Kirk Ferentz was impressed with his poise.
Ferentz is confident Padilla will be able to handle his first start.
Ferentz expects Padilla to continue to make progress.
