Iowa City, Iowa (RI) – Iowa coach Fran McCaffery says senior guard Drew Thelwell may return to the lineup Wednesday night when the Hawkeyes host Oregon.
Thelwell missed the past two games with an ankle injury. He is averaging 10 and-a-half points per game and shooting just over 42 percent from 3 point range.
With Thelwell out sophomore Brock Harding shouldered the majority of the point guard duties and averaged nine points and seven assists while playing an average of 32 minutes.
Oregon enters the game tied for eighth in the Big Ten with a record of 7-8.
McCaffery says it is a typical Dana Altman coached team.
The Hawkeyes are 5-9 in the Big Ten.
