Chicago, Illinois (RI) – Iowa coach Fran McCaffery believes all 18 Big Ten teams should take part in the conference post season tournament.
Only the top 15 teams qualify for the Big Ten Tournament and the Hawkeyes are on the cut line right now as they take a 6-11 league record to Northwestern Friday night.
McCaffery says the coaches were in favor of including all 18 teams.
Northwestern is also 6-11 in the Big Ten and battling for its postseason life. The Hawkeyes won the first meeting at the buzzer back on December 3rd, but McCaffery says both are different teams after battling injuries.
McCaffery says the injuries have forced Northwestern coach Chris Collins to adjust.
