After snapping a three game losing streak by edging Penn State the Iowa Hawkeye men are on the road Monday night at Ohio State. Former Buckeye star Jake Diebler (deeb-lir) is in his first full season as head coach and Ohio State is 3-5 in the Big Ten after pulling off a stunning upset at Purdue.
That’s Iowa coach Fran McCaffery who says a key will be slowing down Buckeye guard Bruce Thorton. The junior is ninth in the Big Ten in scoring at just over 17 points per game.
Junior forward Riley Mulvey has seen an increased role the last couple of weeks. He has played in each of the last three games and had three rebounds in Friday’s win over Penn State.
The Hawkeyes are 4-5 in the Big Ten.
