Iowa Offense Needs To Take Big Steps

A veteran Iowa football team enters the season unranked and much of the reason is an anemic offense that ranked 13th in the Big Ten in total offense last year.

Quarterback Spencer Petras threw for nearly 19 hundred yards last season and completed just over 57 percent of his passes.

Petras says the Hawkeyes hope to improve in all phases on offense.

Petras hopes the offense can make strides heading into the opener.

The Iowa offense averaged just under 24 points per game in 2021. Offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz.

Ferentz says the run and pass games need to be better.

The Hawkeyes open September third at home against South Dakota State
