Iowa Players Talk About Wisconsin

Iowa defensive lineman Logan Lee says the Hawkeyes are not focusing on the past as they get ready to host Wisconsin.

The Badgers have won five of the last six games in the series.

The Badger offensive line is always a challenge for the Hawkeye front seven.

Iowa linebacker Jack Campbell says it is two programs who base their success on physical play and toughness.

Turnovers has been a big factor in Wisconsin’s recent success in this series and Campbell says the Hawkeye defense hopes to do its part to turn that round this week.

On the offensive side of the ball sophomore tackle Mason Richman says the Hawkeyes are motivated to turn the series against Wisconsin around.

The last time these teams met in Iowa City was during the 2020 COVID season and the Hawkeyes claimed a 28-7 win.

The Iowa offense has shown signs of life the last two weeks in wins over Northwestern and Purdue.

Wisconsin’s 3-4 defense bottled up Iowa in last year’s 27-7 win in Madison. The Hawkeyes managed only 156 yards of offense including just 24 on the ground. They also fumbled three times.

That is senior fullback Monte Pottebaum. The one time West Lyon Wildcat says the offense wants to continue to make strides like the past couple of weeks.
