Iowa Rallies To Beat Nebraska

Iowa scored the final nine points of overtime and beat Nebraska 97-87 in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes roared back after trailing by 15 with just under 15 minutes to play.

That’s Iowa coach Fran McCaffery. The Hawkeyes bounced back from a 31 point loss at Wisconsin and are now 2-2 in the Big Ten.

Josh Dix led the Hawkeyes with 31 points and added seven assists. He was seven-of-10 from three point range.

Free throw shooting hurt Nebraska. They were 12-of-22 from the line in falling to 2-2 in conference play.

That’s Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg who felt there were too many defensive breakdowns for his team in the second half.
