Ames, Iowa – Iowa State defensive coordinator Jon Heacock says the final challenge for the Cyclone defense may be the toughest of them all.
The 18th-ranked Cyclones take on 13th-ranked Miami in Saturday’s Pop Tarts Bowl and will look to slow down a Miami offense that is averaging 44 points per game.
Heacock says preparation is the key in getting ready to face the Miami offense.
Miami quarterback Cam Ward has passed for more than 4,100 yards and 36 touchdowns.
Heacock says Ward’s mobility makes him even tougher to slow down.
