Ames, Iowa (RI) – Iowa State defensive end Ike Ezeogu is looking to step up his game this spring. The native of Missouri played in an 14 games last season and made one start.
Ezeogu says there is a new focus on defense after the Cyclones slipped to ninth in total defense in the Big 12 last season and 15th against the run.
Ezeogu had one sack last season and hopes to boost that number in the fall.
Ezeogu says a big focus this spring on the defensive line is building depth.
Cyclone defensive line coach Eli Rasheed feels building depth is a must.
Rasheed says it will take a lot of work to get there.
