Iowa State defensive coordinator Jon Heacock talks spring drills

Iowa State defensive coordinator Jon Heacock (hay-cock) hopes added experience helps that unit become more consistent next season. The Cyclones return nine starters from last season and Heacock says added depth has also shown up during spring drills.

ISU gave up just over 24 and-a-half points in Big 12 play last season in finishing with a record of 7-6.

Heacock says consistency comes from building habits.

The Cyclones finished third in the Big 12 in defense last season.

Iowa State’s Spring Game is April 20th.
