Iowa State Senior Jarod Hufford Previews The Season

Iowa State offensive lineman Jarrod Hufford says the Cyclones are motivated by the failures of last season.

The Cyclones finished 4-8 in 2022 and six of the losses were by a touchdown or less. The redshirt senior from Ohio started all 12 games last season.

The question mark at quarterback has not hurt his confidence. Hunter Dekkers is not at fall camp after being charged in a gambling investigation and several candidates are competing for the job.

He says the offensive line is focused on improvement no matter who the starting quarterback is.

Hufford’s versatility is a strength. He has started games at left tackle and left guard.

The Cyclones open the season at home on September second against Northern Iowa.
