Iowa vs Indiana Preview

Injuries are a bit of concern for coach Kirk Ferentz as the Iowa Hawkeyes get set to visit Indiana.

Linebacker is especially thin and Amani Jones will miss the first half after getting called for targeting at Minnesota.

Ferentz says the leg injury suffered by Jack Hockaday was not as severe as they feared.

With injuries at linebacker the Hawkeyes have been using more nickel packages by putting safety Geno Stone on the field.

Freshman Riley Moss is expected to get another start at corner. The lightly recruited Ankeny native had two interceptions against Minnesota.

Indiana has been known for offense and this year is no different. Quarterback Peyton Ramsey is completing 67 percent of his passes and also adds a running threat.

Indiana coach Tom Allen says the Hoosiers will face a more versatile Iowa offense this weekend. The Hoosiers and Hawkeyes meet for the first time since 2015 in Memorial Stadium.

Allen says the Iowa defense is as sound as usual.

The Hoosier defense has forced eight turnovers in three Big Ten games. Allen says it was an area of emphasis in preseason camp.

Kick off is at 11:00 am at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana.
