Columbus, Ohio (RI) – The six-game winning streak for the Iowa Hawkeye women ended in overtime at eighth-ranked Ohio State.
Rob Brooks on the Hawkeye Radio Network. Iowa roared back from a 14 point deficit to force overtime before falling 86-78. The Hawkeyes were held without a field goal the final four minutes and 16 seconds of overtime.
That’s Iowa coach Jan Jensen. Turnovers proved costly. The Hawkeyes had 20 in the game and several came with the game on the line in the extra session.
Lucy Olsen finished with 27 points as the Hawkeyes fall to 8-7 in the Big Ten.
