Iowa’s Schulte on a new challenge for the defense

Iowa safety Quinn Schulte says a new season is a new challenge for him and the Hawkeye defense. The Cedar Rapids native opted to return for his final season and is one of nine starters returning from one of the nation’s top defenses.

Schulte says spring drills and summer workouts are about building depth.

Schulte is one of several embers of the defense who opted to return and not enter the NFL Draft.

Iowa opens next season at home on August 31st against Illinois State.
