Sioux Center, Iowa — Kenedie Kats, a senior at Western Christian High School in Hull, Iowa has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the women’s cross country and track programs.
Kats placed first overall in the conference cross country meet her junior year, while also being named to the all-conference team. She was also named all state during her sophomore and junior seasons as a member of the Wolfpack. Kats holds a 5,000 meter personal best of 21:14 and a 4,000 meter personal best of 15:24.
“I am excited to welcome Kenedie to Dordt College and our distance program. As shown by her 2014 state cross country meet, she is a talented runner that can impact our women’s team. Her experiences at Western Christian will help her as she transitions to college running. I look forward to working with her and watching her grow and develop during her time at Dordt College,” said head coach Nate Wolf.
Kenedie is the daughter of Ryan and Laura Kats of Sheldon, Iowa.
