KIWA Sports is back with their final predictions of the year! Nate and Anna have their predictions for Super Bowl LX set between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.
In the round they are currently deadlocked in points earned, as both players correctly selected the two Super Bowl teams to play on Sunday. At this point in time, what’s interesting lies within the point-error tiebreaker.
To get to this spot, Nate had a blowout victory in Round One against Katie, only missing two games throughout the Wildcard and Divisional Rounds. It was a good fight on the other side of the bracket, but Anna’s performance was near-identical to Nate’s, and Sam wasn’t able to match it.

Round Two
Round Two consists of only three games: the NFC and AFC Championship (1/25), each worth three points, as well as the Super Bowl (2/8), worth four points, for a full potential of 10 points. Due to the limited number of games remaining, both players also predicted the final score alongside each selection.
If there is a tie in points at the end of Super Bowl LX, the final score prediction will serve as the ultimate tiebreaker. Hence, the following equation will be applied to each of the three remaining matchups, and whoever has the least total error combined will be awarded the championship:
Game Error = | Team 1 Actual Score – Team 1 Predicted Score | + | Team 2 Actual Score – Team 2 Predicted Score |
If a tie still remains after the equation has been fully executed for both players, the championship results in a tie.
Scenario where the KIWA Picks Championship could result in a tie:
Both players are tied in Points (6) as well as Total Error (30) after predicting the AFC and NFC Championships. Therefore, based on their selections for Super Bowl LX, if the total points scored is exactly 41 points, our KIWA NFL Picks Championship will result in a tie. This is because 41 is the midpoint of the total points predicted by the two players (35 and 47).
