Sioux City, Iowa – Two players from the Northwestern College Men’s Basketball team have been named as Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Players-of-the-Week as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, December 16th.
Jesse Van Kalsbeek of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men’s basketball offensive player-of-the-week. Van Kalsbeek, a sophomore from Sheldon, averaged 31.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists in a pair of home wins this week.
He scored 38 in Wednesday’s win over Waldorf before posting a 24-point, 15-rebound outing on Saturday against Midland. Van Kalsbeek is leading the NAIA in points per game (30.1) and is fourth in rebounding average (12.0).
Kaden Van Regenmorter of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men’s basketball defensive player-of-the-week. Van Regenmorter, a freshman from Hull, was had six steals in a pair of wins last week.
He also piled up 15 rebounds, 14 of them on the defensive end of the floor, to go along with a blocked shot.
