Georgia Lodewyk, a senior at Unity Christian High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.
“We are excited to have Georgia become a Defender next year. Her personality and passion not only soccer, but for Dordt, will be a great addition to our team,” said Dordt soccer coach Alex Durbin.
Lodewyk scored a goal and had an assist last season while starting 20 games for the Knights as they compiled a 14-6 record and were the regional runner-up.
“I believe Dordt is a place where I can grow as a student, athlete and a Christian. I love the Christ-centered atmosphere and close-knit community Dordt offers. I am beyond excited to be part of a soccer team this fall and continue playing the sport I love,” said Lodewyk.
Georgia is the daughter of Rich and Carmen Lodewyk of Sioux Center, Iowa. Georgia plans to study English at Dordt.
