Sioux City, Iowa – A men’s basketball player from Dordt University has been named a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week honoree as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, January 21st.
Lucas Lorenzen of Dordt University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Basketball Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Lorenzen, a junior from Milford, Iowa, averaged 13.5 points as the Defenders defeated Northwestern and Midland on the road last week. He connected from the field at almost a 60 percent rate, going 16-of-27 from the field. He also chipped in with 6.5 boards and two steals per contest.
