Monday was media day at Northwest Iowa Community College. As NCC Athletics continues to grow the men’s and women’s soccer programs were highlighted along with the shooting sports program.
Tre Thomas will head up both the men’s and women’s soccer programs this year and we asked about the foundation set for each program in their inaugural seasons last year.
The goals for year two look like this.
Two big factors in the Thunder’s favor are facilities and effort.
The shooting sports program is the longest running in the Athletic Department at NCC. Speaking for the program AD Eric Francis talked about the goals for this years team.
Facilities have been upgraded with a new shooting range.
Francis is in his second year as Athletic Director and is a little more comfortable in his second year.
The athletic department will expand next year with the addition of women’s volleyball and men’s golf.
The gradual expansion has been by design.
