MOC-FV’s Yaw Headed To Northwestern

Northwesstern logoOrange City, Iowa — Mitchell Yaw (Orange City, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Northwestern College next year.

Yaw is a 6’1” guard who lettered three years for MOC-Floyd Valley High School. Yaw averaged 10 points and three assists, shooting better than 50% from the field, in earning all-conference honors as a senior. He helped lead the Dutch to a top 10 ranking and 18-4 overall record. Yaw plans to major in physical therapy/athletic training at Northwestern and is the son of Chris and Donette.

“Mitchell is a hard-nosed, tough competitor,” commented head coach Kris Korver. “He loves to compete and has been part of a very successful high school program at MOC-Floyd Valley. We are excited to have Mitchell in our basketball program and we look forward to seeing him improve.”
