NCC Thunder Sports Shooting hosted Iowa Central on Saturday, Sept. 9 in their home sports shooting opener.
Iowa Central edged NCC 489 to 474. NCC’s Skyler Mullinix placed 3rd overall with a score of 97. The top 5 scores for NCC student-athletes were:

4. Blake Van Roekel — 94
5. Derek Lawson — 93
NCC Head Coach Brian Lauck said, “We shot well for our first competition of the season, and we improved our overall score from last year’s shoot against Iowa Central. I’m happy with the way our student-athletes competed today, and looking forward to a great 2023 season,”
