Iowa State is set for its first January bowl game when the 10th ranked Cyclones play 25th ranked Oregon in Saturday’s Fiesta Bowl.
It is also a chance to go home for Cyclone quarterback Brock Purdy. The Arizona native committed to the program in the early stages of coach Matt Campbell’s rebuilding effort.
Purdy will play in a bowl game he grew up watching.
Purdy says the Cyclones are focused on finishing with a win.
Leading receiver Xavier Hutchinson says it is a chance for the Cyclones to beat one of the name programs in college football.
