Iowa City, Iowa — Iowa coach Fran McCaffery hopes sophomore guard CJ Fredrick can play Wednesday night when the 15th ranked Hawkeyes host number-25 Rutgers.
Fredrick has played sparingly the past two weeks due to a lower leg injury.
The Hawkeyes enter having lost four of their last five games.
McCaffery says it is tough to avoid bad stretches in a conference like the Big Ten.
Freshman forward Keegan Murray says the Hawkeyes are determined to get things turned around.
Murray made several key plays in Iowa’s 77-75 win at Rutgers back in early January.
Junior guard Connor McCaffery says the Hawkeyes have not lost their confidence.
