No. 5 Iowa Hosts Nebraska Thursday Night

The fifth ranked Iowa Hawkeyes will lock up the third seed in the Big Ten Tournament with a pair of wins to close the season.

It begins Thursday night at home against Nebraska. Under former Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg the Huskers have won two straight after a 1-14 start to conference play and a three week COVID pause.

That’s Iowa coach Fran McCaffery who says the Huskers have showed character with the way they have bounced back.

Iowa is on the verge of getting its entire 27-game schedule played. McCaffery says that is a credit to the players and how they have handled the pandemic.

Iowa center Luka Garza says there is plenty on the line for the Hawkeyes.
