No. 6 Northwestern Prepares To Visit No. 24 Dordt

Two of the contenders in the Great Plains Athletic Conference race collide in Sioux Center on Saturday when Northwestern visits Dordt.

Northwestern is ranked sixth in NAIA while Dordt is 24th.

That’s Dordt coach Joel Penner who says the defense must limit big plays by the Northwestern offense.

Penner says they will need an efficient effort from their option attack on offense.

Northwestern coach Matt McCarty is not worried about getting his team ready to play.

McCarty says the defense will need to slow down a Dordt offense led the quarterback Noah Clayberg.

McCarty says a key for the offense will be giving quarterback Tyson Kooima time to throw.

Northwestern bounced back from a season opening loss to Morningside with a win over Dakota Wesleyan. Dordt is 2-0.
