The Northwestern College football team kicks off the 2018 season at Valley City State University in North Dakota on Saturday.
The Red Raiders advanced to the quarterfinal round of the N-A-I-A playoff’s last season, and finished with a 10-and-2 overall record. Northwestern coach Matt McCarty says they are excited to get started.
Valley City State went 5-5 last season, but McCarty says they are expecting improvement this season.
