Make it three losses in a row for Iowa State. Kansas raced out to a 16 point halftime and the 16th ranked Jayhawks beat the number eight Cyclones 69-52 in Lawrence. Despite the loss, Cyclone coach T.J. Otzelberger was pleased with the effort.
The Cyclones shot an ice cold 31 percent for the game, including three-of-21 from three point range.
Otzelberger says cold shooting did not impact the Cyclones in other areas of the game.
Keshon Gilbert, Joshua Jefferson and Tamin Lipsey all had 11 points as the Cyclones fall to 7-4 in the Big 12 and 17-5 overall. ISU returns to action Saturday by hosting TCU.
