Northern Iowa’s Mark Farley Previews North Dakota State

Cedar Falls, Iowa — Northern Iowa faces a difficult challenge this week when the 12th ranked Panther visit fifth rated North Dakota State in Missouri Valley Conference play.

This will be the first tough road test for quarterback Theo Day, who has led the Panthers to three straight wins.

That’s UNI coach Mark Farley who says after playing in front of limited crowds in the spring he likes big games on the road.

UNI has a stable of running backs who have performed well. The Panthers rushed for 200 yards in last week’s win over Youngstown State.

Farley says making people miss will be a key against the Bison defense.

Farley says North Dakota State is also deep at running back.

Virginia Tech transfer Quincy Patterson is a dual threat quarterback for the Bison.

Farley says North Dakota State always feature an outstanding defense and this season is no different.

Farley likes how the Panthers have been playing heading into this game.
