Northwest Iowa Community College Student-Athletes Recognized for Academic Excellence with Spring 2025 NJCAA Region 11 Academic All-Region Honors

Sheldon, Iowa – Northwest Iowa Community College is proud to announce that 35 of its student-athletes have been named to the NJCAA Region 11 Academic All-Region Teams for the Spring 2025 semester. These honors recognize student-athletes who have demonstrated academic achievement while maintaining eligibility and competing in collegiate athletics.

Academic All-Region Criteria:

  • All NJCAA sports are recognized each semester
  • First Team: GPA of 3.5–4.0
  • Second Team: GPA of 3.0–3.49
  • Recognition is based on the higher of cumulative or semester GPA
  • Students must meet NJCAA credit hour eligibility requirements

Northwest Iowa Community College extends its congratulations to these students for representing NCC with integrity, discipline, and excellence.

The public is invited to support the Thunder at their first home soccer games of the fall season on Wednesday, August 27, against Southeast Community College in Sheldon. The women’s game begins at 1:00 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 3:30 p.m. Thunder Sports Shooting takes aim on Saturday, September 6, against Iowa Central in Sibley at the Otter Creek Shooting Complex (start time to be determined).
