Northwestern and Morningside both advanced to the NAIA Football Quarterfinals after posting wins in the round of 16 last Saturday.
The number 3-ranked Northwestern College football team (11-1, 10-1 GPAC) are making their third-straight trip to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Football Championship Series. The Red Raiders will host the No. 7-ranked Marian University (Ind.) Knights (10-1, 6-1 MSFA). It’s the second-straight season the teams will meet in the NAIA Quarterfinals.
Kick off in Orange City is set for noon on Saturday.
Also on Saturday top ranked and defending National Champion Morningside will square off at home against Keiser Florida. Kickoff is scheduled for noon at Olsen Stadium. Keiser Florida was the number 12 team going into the first round. They pulled the biggest upset of the playoffs so far with the 27-17 win over number 4 Bethel of Tennessee last Saturday.
