Northwestern College Wins NAIA Football Title

The Northwestern College football team claimed the NAIA championship in Durham, North Carolina Saturday.

The third ranked Red Raiders beat Keiser of Florida 35-25 in the title game. Northwestern quarterback Jalyn Gramstad passed for 247 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 128 yards and a score.

Northwestern took control after the game was tied 7-7 at halftime.

Safety Noah Van’t Hof had two interceptions for the Red Raiders, who finish the season 13-1.

Van’t Hof says they had been building to this since losing in the national title game two years ago

After losing their season opener the Red Raiders won 13 straight to win the school’s third national title and their first in 39 years.
