Orange City, Iowa —Rebekah Muilenburg (Orange City, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her track and field career at Northwestern College next year.
Muilenburg has earned seven letters for the MOC-Floyd Valley High School cross country and track and field teams heading into her senior track season. Muilenburg is a three-time state and Drake Relays qualifier in multiple events, winning the state championship as a member of the 4×400 relay as a sophomore and junior, setting a new record time for class 3A as a junior. She also was part of a state runner-up 4×200 and distance medley along with a 4×200 that won the Sioux City Relays with a record time. In total, Muilenburg has placed in the top five at the state meet seven times and earned all-conference honors eight times. She has personal bests of 12.6 in the 100m, 25.6 in the 200m and 56.1 in the 400m. A member of the National Honor Society and academic all-conference team in both track and cross country, Muilenburg plans to major in biology at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Mark and Lisa.
