Northwestern Up To 10th In NAIA Football Poll

Northwestern College moved up one spot and into the top 10 in this week’s edition of the NAIA Football Coaches’ poll released Monday.

Fresh off its 26-25 last second road win at Midland, Northwestern climbed to 10th in this week’s poll, earning 258 points and just behind both Reinhardt (Ga.) and Grand View. The Red Raiders are one of two GPAC teams ranked in the top 25 (Morningside) while two more conference teams earned votes (Midland and Hastings).

The top seven teams were unchanged from the preseason poll as Morningside continues to hold down the No.1 spot, earning all 17 first place votes. Benedictine (Kan.) is second, followed by Saint Francis (Ind.), Kansas Wesleyan and Saint Xavier (Ill.).
