Orange City, Iowa – Top seeded Northwestern posted a 3-1 win over second seed Concordia on Saturday night in the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Volleyball Tournament Championship Match in Orange City, Iowa.
The Red Raiders won by the set scores of 25-11,23-25, 25-13, and 25-19.
Former standout at Western Christian Stella Winterfeld paced Northwestern with 20 kills, while Nyah Potthoff and Liv Reitsma had 26 and 20 assists respectively. The Red Raiders hit .317 and had seven ace serves in the match and improved to 28-3.
Ella Waters had 14 kills and Ashely Keck 13 for the Bulldogs. Savannah Shelburne and Lily Psencik had 21 and 14 assists for Concordia. The Bulldogs are now 24-3 for the season.
Both Northwestern and Concordia will receive automatic berths to the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round.
The 2025 NAIA Volleyball National Championship includes a field of 48 teams. All 48 teams will play in opening round matches played on campus sites nationwide on November 22 . The opening round winners will play at the final site for a 24-team pool play NAIA National Championship December 3-9 , 2025, in Sioux City at the Tyson Events Center.
