Evanston, Illinois — Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald says Iowa’s secondary play is a major concern as they get set to host the Hawkeyes Saturday night.
The Wildcats are 3-5 after a lopsided loss to Minnesota and host an Iowa team that has lost two straight.
As the calendar flips to November running the ball and stopping the run becomes even more important.
Fitzgerald says the most impressive part of the Iowa program under Kirk Ferentz is consistency.
Fitzgerald expects the Hawkeyes to be ready.
The Wildcats have won four of the last five in the series.
