The Red Raider football team will conclude its spring season with the Red / White scrimmage under the lights of Korver Field on Saturday night, April 28. Festivities start with the PowerRed alumni event at 4 pm followed by kickoff at 7 pm.
Saturday’s scrimmage wraps up a three week stretch of practices and workouts under the direction of Head Coach Matt McCarty and his coaching staff. Northwestern returns several key players from an outstanding 2017 season where they finished with a 10-2 record and ranked eighth in the final NAIA Coaches’ poll. The Red Raiders qualified for postseason play for the first time since 2014 and 19th time overall, defeating then-unbeaten Langston (Okla.) 55-7 before losing to eventual national champion University of Saint Francis (Ind.) in the quarterfinals.
