The Red Raider wrestling program is receiving votes in the most recent NAIA Wrestling Coaches’ Top 20 Poll.
The Raiders earned 31 points in the poll and that placed them just behind 20th ranked Morningside who has 36 points.
Individually the Raiders have three wrestlers ranked in their respective weight classes.
Andrew Null leads the way for NWC as he is ranked 4th nationally at the 165 pound weight class. He is 6-1 on the year and has 12 takedowns and 4 4-point near falls.
D’rell Gist is ranked 11th at the 197 pound weight class. He is 2-0 on the year and is averaging 11 match points per contest. He also has 10 takedowns in only two matches.
Luke Jenness is ranked 15th at the 184 pound weight class. He is 12-2 on the year and has 84 total match points. He has 30 takedowns and has already won two tournaments.
The Raiders hop back on the mat on January 3 as they take on Menlo College (Calif.) and Arizona Christian University (Ariz.) in Atherton, Calif.
