Sheldon Iowa — The Sheldon Orab Football Team will open the season at home Friday August 24th against Sibley Ocheyedan. The game had been scheduled for the Generals to host but with weather delaying completion of upgrades to the complex in Sibley the game was moved to Sheldon.
We had a chance to talk with Sheldon Head Coach Tyler Lloyd following the annual sports drink scrimmage this past Friday and asked the coach what he had hoped to gain from the scrimmage.
With a senior-heavy starting lineup a year ago the Orabs have a lot of competition for starting spots this year.
We asked what stands out to the coaching staff about this year’s team.
As the Orabs get set for Friday’s opener, attention to detail and focus will be the emphasis of practice.
Kick-off is set for 7:00 Friday night from Orab Field in Sheldon. AM 1550 and FM 100.7 will be your home for season-long coverage of Orab football.
