Panther Men’s Basketball Rolls To Home Win Over Evansville

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The Northern Iowa men opened the second half with a 10-0 run and cruised to an 83-61 win over Evansville to open Missouri Valley Conference play.

It was the Panthers first game since dropping two close games in Hawaii to Liberty and Wyoming prior to Christmas.

That’s Panther coach Ben Jacobson. Evansville swept two games against UNI last season.

Jacobson was pleased with their three-point defense.

AJ Green led five Panthers in double figures with 18 points as they improve to 5-7.
