Pfaffle To Play Football, Run Track For NWC

Preston Pfaffle of Remsen has signed a letter of intent to continue his football and track and field careers at Northwestern College this fall.

Pfaffle is a 5’8″, 160-pound running back who played three years for the Kingsley-Pierson High School football team. Pfaffle earned all-district honors after rushing for 458 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 4.4 yards per carry. He accumulated over 1,000 rushing yards and reached the end zone 20 times during his career.

“Preston has great potential at running back,” commented Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. “He possesses great speed and is elusive. It will be fun to watch Preston compete over the next four years.”

A three-time letter winner in track and field, Pfaffle was part of a sprint medley that won the Western Valley Conference championship his junior year. Pfaffle is an honor roll student and plans to major in Ag-Business at Northwestern. He is the son of Kevin Pfaffle and Amy Erickson.

“We are excited to have Preston join our sprints crew in 2020-21,” said Head Track and Field Coach Scott Bahrke. “He is a strong, determined runner who will give his all each day at practice and meets. It will be fun to see Preston improve throughout his career at Northwestern.”
