Piercy To Play Basketball For Northwestern

Spencer, Iowa — Allison Piercy (Spencer, Iowa) has signed her letter of intent to continue her basketball career at Northwestern College.

Piercy is a multisport athlete from Spencer High School. During her athletic career she has accumulated unanimous 1st Team All-Conference and All-District for basketball and volleyball, 1st Team All-Conference for softball, and was a state track qualifier. During her junior season Piercy averaged 15 points, six rebounds, and two assists per game while shooting 42% from behind the arc. Thus far in her career Piercy has totaled 809 total points.

“We are excited to have Allison join our NWC women’s basketball program,” stated Head Coach Kristin Rotert. “She is a fantastic athlete and competitor who will be a great fit in our program.”

Piercy plans to study Business at Northwestern College. She is a two-time Academic Excellence Award winner and a member of the National Honor Society. She is the daughter of Darren and Christy.

“When I came to Northwestern on a visit, everyone was very welcoming,” noted Piercy. “I have always enjoyed coming and watching the sporting events over the years. When I came to the basketball camp this past summer the team was very welcoming and it was a very good environment to be in! It felt like home!”
