Abby Postma, a senior at Western Christian High School, has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender women’s basketball program.
Postma is a 5-11 forward who averaged 6.4 points per game in 2018-19 with 3.4 rebounds and she converted 31.4 percent of her three-point shots. In 2019-20 Postma is averaging 9.1 points per game with 34.8 percent three-point shooting and she is averaging just under five rebounds per game.
“We are excited to welcome Abby to Dordt! Abby excels in the classroom and will be a strong contributor to our basketball program and culture. We look forward to helping Abby develop her God given talents and abilities at Dordt,” said Dordt basketball coach Bill Harmsen.
Abby is the daughter of Brad and Brenda Postma of Rock Valley, Iowa.
“I am very excited to be a part of the Dordt basketball team. I wanted to go to a college close to home and I like what Dordt has to offer. I believe Dordt University will help prepare me for my future as well as help me grow in my faith,” said Postma.
