Quarterback Change Is Likely At Northern Iowa

Cedar Falls, Iowa — There may be a quarterback change at UNI. Panther coach Mark Farley replaced starter Will McElvain with Theo Day at halftime of the game at Sacramento State and the Michigan State transfer directed the Panthers to four third quarter touchdowns in a 34-16 win.

Farley made the change with the Panthers trailing 9-7 at halftime.

Farley will make a decision on the starter this week leading up to Saturday’s home opener against St. Thomas of Minnesota.
